Yes I did and although I thought that was a good fade in I still was disappointed no attempt was made to speak in a German accent!!
I also was disappointed with Enemy at the Gates too (accent wise - great film!) I prefer it when they do accents, I think it's lazy of actors not to do them. Personal opinion but that's how I operate. Oh and yes, they have to be good accents! Not like Daniel Craigs attempts in Defiance! Although the other dudey... Liev Schrieber... he was legendary! |

I found the accents a bit irritating in Valkyrie although then again I didn't really like the film. Tom Cruise was badly cast and way too American for such a role imo. That and of course he really can't act didn't help the case and is probably why he didn't try to do an accent It did encourage me to track down Downfall though which was far superior

Apologies if I seemed dumb and didn't get what they did in the first place. Unfortunately, although I'm blonde, I'm not that stupid

I think if Leo DiCap can pull of a South African Accent for Blood Diamond, then the other actors can do the same!
Maybe they tried German accents, but they were so Nazi Dalek (hahaha cheers for that MB! ) that the director had to make some big decisions

I think the testment to Eddie's acting was that I didn't realise who it was until the end, maybe if he had worn a dress I'd have twigged earlier.
