The Taking of Pelham 123
This flim's got a good cast, Denzel Washington and John Travolta star at opposite ends. Travolta hijacks a train and Denzel is the train operator person. The film holds its suspense well but to be honest the script didn't offer any surprises. There weren't any really good twists and the ending was beige and predictable. 4/10

Let's not forget the absolutely magical film score throughout this film; many book-to-screen efforts lack the essence of imagination from the original pages, and yet with the Green Mile, all that is lost from the transfer is more than made up for with some truly beautiful composing from Thomas Newman.

"Heaven, I'm in heaven, and my heart beats so that I can hardly speak..."
Film still makes me cry in the last 30 minutes.

It's great - it'd be even getter if Tom Hanks wasn't in it.

Indeed, always good for a bit of audience partici .....
.. pation! Seen the follow up, "Shock Treatment" yet? Set about 10 years after RHPS, Brad and Janet are now married and living in Denton. There's sooooo many props from, and references to, RHPS in the film that it's fun trying to spot them all.

Really good black comedy, some great lines "I love my dead gay son", "Well, **** me gently with a chainsaw" Christian Slater looks cool and Winona Ryder either hides her huge ladybumps really well, or they'd just not grown by then! I find it quite difficult to put an actual rating on films, so I'll just say that it's GOOD and leave it at that.
