Soooo turns out it was Comondo killing windows whenever a steam app run, not sure why it does it, or why it doesn't on BF2 or eve or farcry2 or Mass Effect or Sims3 etc...

Incidentally Tesco have 7 full retail for £50 again if anyone missed out first time

That'd be the ticket - wherever I first saw it mentioned had that code but I couldn't find where I first saw it so I had no idea what the voucher code was
