Briggy - wanted to watch that filum for a long time but heard good and bad reports! Sounds like a nice watch when I'm in a non-thinking chilled out mood

It doesn't really matter though does it?! I liked the film, I gave it a high score, but for me it would have been better if they hadn't of lazed out and kept their American accents! Personal rate-age! As said in my post, if you can cope with the American accents, I think it's a good film! Blimey gov! I feel like my opinions get wee'd on at times on BD! *edit* It does matter actually!! I think the effort to make Valkyrie (despite being a good film) was poor! How dare they not invent a Delorean and go back in time to film the actual happenings as a documentary and use the real life people instead!! I can't believe they just decided to act it all out with American actors!! The fools! Poor effort! I'm remarking it to a 1/10 for lackage of commitment and dedication to show the true happenings as accurately as possible Hahahaha! Last edited by Pheebs; 02-11-2009 at 23:17. |

Erm....and I think people overreact to mine quite a lot too! Just pointing out that having german accents wouldn't be any more 'authentic' it's either German or English, surely? To have them speaking in german accents would just insult our intelligence, no? Anyway I didn't realise that having an opinion meant that I was 'weeing all over' yours, but now I do, I'll try not to have anymore. So sorry. <obligatory smiley>

Watched Quantum of Solace last night! Bond suitage, lots of fight scenes (awesome ones too! Brilliant choreography!), wicked car chases, fab boat-age action, sexy ladies and a great plot! What more could you ask for from a Bond!
I thoroughly enjoyed it! I know some people didn't like the fact that Bond had a revenge plot on his hands but I think it was played out superbly! I will deffo be using the chat up line at some point: "I can't seem to find the stationary, would you come in the bedroom and help me find it" Genius! 8/10... possibly 8.5! I think it could be one of my favourite Bond filums now |

I loved QOS. Think Daniel Craig was an excellent choice for Bond, though I think I liked Casino Royale more. Only watched QOS once though, so may have to watch both again to compare properly

I thought QOS was excellent, don't understand why it didn't seem to be well-received at the time. Thoroughly enjoyed it, even tho the plot wasn't the easiest to understand.

Picky said the same about the plot - said he found it hard to follow. Normally it's me that's a bit like that but maybe I was so in tune with Daniel Craig I managed to see it straight...

Grindhouse? Got to say I give movies like that no time at all, but both were pretty good! Death Proof's even better.
I was also starting to think I wouldn't really like a Tarantino movie again. Not a fan of the Kill Bills, nor Inglorious Barsterds.
