Seems Halo 3 has gone gold and I wanted to ask everyone who's played the other 2 Halo games if this one is worth a play or whether I should do the other 2 first?

I wasn't overly impressed, it's a somewhat controversial opinion in some circles. I just didn't think they were very special considering all the hype. Decent enough FPS, just not 'OMG it's so amazing'.
They are however great fun in co-op mode which is probably the one reason why I'll buy Halo 3 once it's gone down in price a lot.

Driving the tank/buggy things was cool though. Loved the last level of the first one where you had to drive against the bomb countdown.

Sneakeh!

Pre-order CoD4 from Game online, and get a code for the beta. The Crackdown effect.

I saw that. So tempted to pre-order the game, get the Beta, then cancel the pre-order in a week or two.

Hmm I'm tempted to do that too, do they take the money when you pre-order or when the game is about to be shipped.

That's the only thing stopping me doing it. I've got £13.90 of points with them though, so I may just let it run through anyway
