I'll tell you what I told Mei Mei Piggy... scrap the timing. Concentrate on running 5K non-stop first. THEN you can bother about times

Won't be until next season now. My only races for the rest of the year will be in Winchester, Basingstoke, Chelmsford, Walton-On-Thames, Milton Keynes & Southampton. In that order, I think.

Well two weeks of aqua running and I went out.
25C and felt a lot hotter (very little shade); only managed 3.5 miles in 24:49 so not exactly the endurance I wanted two weeks before (though the speed is just about there) the 10k but foot seems okay so far. Hopefully it'll cool down a little. |

I really wanted to run this weekend but Parkrun was cancelled due to motorsports in the park and I've come down with a virus of some sort. Feel like crap. Reset running diary -> middle of next week

Well 23C is cooler, just about. Legs in major pain now, 5 miles earlier on with 800 intervals at 6:26-6:40 pace. The 10k looms like a bad idea.
Still, it'll be wet and hot soon. |

Deciding to give tonights Open 100m race in Basingstoke a miss. My achilles feels like its bruised when I try to run on my toes. I have a league match next Saturday which matters more so resting until I'm better then beasting the sprints sessions!
