Debit card is no good, it says:

A credit card is required to start your free trial. After your trial ends, your card will be charged an annual subscription fee of £59.00. Don't worry, you can cancel your subscription online at any time during the trial.

Kreee is right but we only have switch cards not Visa

I didn't even read any of that, just assumed a debit card would work. fortunately I have a visa.

I'm slowly migrating things to that email address too.

Why not buy an activation code from eBay? That's what I've done for the last couple of years.

I picked one up in an Apple store. No credit card asked for or required. However, I'd expect the eBay option to be cheaper.
