Really? I thought it was great - an old-fashioned type of suspense thriller if anything. If you were expecting Godzilla you'd be disappointed of course

KM31.

Mexican horror that borrows heavily from films like Ring and Dark Water (the Japanese originals not the rubbish Hollywood remakes).

Really enjoyed it. Quite predictable but it builds up the tension nicely and kept us entertained.

Plot summary (sounds more convoluted than it is):
While driving down a lonely road, Agata hits a little boy. She leaves her car to help the victim and another car runs over her and she falls in a deep coma. Her twin sister Catalina telepathically feels the pain of Agata.Searching for answers, she returns to the km 31 of the road, and finds out that the place is surrounded by supernatural accidents caused by the ghost of a mother that lost her boy many years ago.

Edit: Forgot the score...
7/10.

The film could've been decent enough, had they not decided that filiming it with a "shake-o-matic(tm)" camera would add realism.
It took me two nights to watch it due to that decision.

A lot of people said the same. I saw it for the first time in the cinema and felt a bit queasy for the first few minutes but then I got used to it. I reckon all the years of FPS head sway have made me immune to motion sickness. It's official: gaming is good for you.

I thought Cloverfield was excellent.

Enchanted

"Starring"
  • Amy Adams
  • Susan Sarandon
  • Timothy Spall
Children's fantasy film/cartoon... fairytale characters find themselves in present day NYC.

I enjoyed - hmm the animation and the quips from existing fairytale cartoons.

Overall 6/10, 'easy' watch, killed the time, glad we didn't pay for it.

It's a shame TBH, as it could've been much better.
The director of photography needs to be buggered senseless IMHO.

It was a continuation. Remember he was on revenge mission to kill the person who killed the lady he loved - the woman at the end in Casino Royale.

By the way, are we allowed to review moives that is not currently out here yet? Or do we have some embargo like Ocuk?

I'd say you can review a movie just don't say where you got it from

I thought it added to the tension (and the nausea).
