I'm hoping that I've just finished a shift & got double time for it, Then it'll be back to spend time with Frank & maybe an hour or twos sleep in my easy chair. S'pose I'll spam for a bit & then go down my big sisters for the family get together crimbo dinner. I'll come back here after a couple of hours & take Frank out for a Long walk & then I'll cuddle up with him & crash for a few hours before I chill.
Just thought I bet the last night shift will be the night before xmas eve so I dunno now Sorry to be boring but all I want to do now is work, Maybe they'll let me go in & polish the floors when the place is closed |

I'll have to set my alarm to get up in the morning. I'll probably then get the honour of picking up my sister and heading to the parents. The time will depend on the compromise my sister (who will want a lie in) and my Dad (who will be waiting from the break of dawn) will come to.
Once there it will be the usual combination of alcohol and chocolate for breakfast Then I hand out all the pressies, Dad will run in an out of the room checking stuff in the kitchen, my sister will be opening / going through everything she gets while throwing paper around and Mum will be trying to pick it all up. We'll then watch TV for an hour or so while the parents cook and Dad complains about the crap TV we watch. We'll have a big dinner although not sure what it is yet - pork at last guess but that can change right up to the last minute. Then we'll all veg out, drink more, eat more, watch TV etc.

Have a pretty ace Xmas lined up
Parents, brother and sister are flying out to California and heading up to Santa Barbara on 21st Dec (where they will meet the missus for 1st time ). I join them on the 24th Dec. Xmas day will (hopefully) be spent surfing in the morning, then have a table booked at a restaurant on the pier in SB for a mid-afternoon lunch, followed by dessert and drinks at Christina's parents house (where the respective parents will meet for 1st time ). Looking forward to it

I don't really want to think about the not fun I'll be having. Said similar thing last year so it won't be a surprise to many.
Xmas day is cracking round the parents with a really good meal. Dad will play cd's on his decreprid cd player. The thing goes in and out of losing the bass in songs. He won't replace it though (partly becuase it drives mum nuts) Last edited by Zirax; 03-12-2008 at 23:05. Reason: not really in the spirit of the thread, truth though |

20th going around town, should be going on the 19th aka mad friday but some lads cant get time off, also have a party I can go to on the 20th
24th stay in or maybe go to the pub but I always end up drunk 25th get up open presents, make a big fuss with the niece then chill out help the family get the food ready for dinner, normally have a roast beef joint and the "works" then selection of puds, this year we are thinking of inviting neighbors and friends around for an xmas night drink always a laugh and great fun. 26th might go around town for the HUGE fancy dress night, nearly 20,000 people are out in fancy dress put after last year and being asked to pay £20+ just to get, might give it a miss |

Down the Lion and Lamb, or Saracen's Head, or somesuch for christmas dinner (mum hates cooking it, or cooks it and is so fed up she doesn't enjoy it, so we go out even if it costs a fortune), then off to family (avec hordes of screaming children) for tea.
