Yep, I used my iTrip loads of times in France, Belgium, Holland, Sweden, Germany, Spain & Italy. FM is the same all over Europe so there's no reason why it shouldn't work.

I should add that neither of these were the authentic Apple product though. |

I never had a problem using either of mine when abroad. At first I had an iTrip which I left behind in a hire car so I replaced it with a Belkin something-or-other and that also worked fine everywhere. This was in a variety of hire cars and I never had a problem.
Incidentally the iTrip isn't an Apple product. It's made by a company called Griffin. |

Last time I looked there wasn't, but then I've not looked since about 2004.

But they were legal elsewhere so it is a bit surprising that Apple didn't make one. It was less than trivial to get one when they were illegal here anywhere.

In case anyone was wondering, the iTrip works great. Unfortunately I dropped my iPod and now the hard drive is screwed. Less than a week after I fixed the ruddy headphone socket!!!!
