They just take your word for it. You ought to wait until they have been stable for a few years at the very least. Mine changed again so I'm having them monitored.

Standard pay too as Blockbuster is open every day of the year except Christmas Day.
I had this one year when I worked at Accessorize. We were the only shop open in the station other than the coffee stand. I don't think a customer came in the shop until after we'd been open for 3 hours

You can thank the Sunday trading laws for that one I think Jen. Huuuuuge loophole. Of course, if your store is under 3000 sq ft (iirc) then you can open anyway.

Ahh that's probably why we were open then. Not sure of the size of the store but all the others in the area are huge!

Don't mind working normal Sundays (although can still happily mutter about the days when everywhere was shut ) but we did all feel a bit cheated being the only place open yesterday. At least I wasn't working till 10pm like most of my workmates yesterday.

I remember working in Asda during Uni when they were closed on Easter Sunday but still made us work because it 'wasn't a bank holiday'. We weren't allowed to sell anything but they still forced us to come in and move stock about! Bastids!

Ahh, I remember the joy of parental holiday shifts! Christmas dinner at 10pm!

you just get your eyes tested and tell the optician you want contacts. Is as easy as that. Disposables on a monthly scheme range from around £11 per month to about £25 depending on the type you want/can have. Think the eye test is around £18, but I get mine for free through work, so not sure. If you work with VDUs at all you are entitled to free eye tests via your employer.
