You can't expect to visit one of the top cities in Europe and not expect to pay through the nose for eating and drinking.. Especially with the Euro being the way it is and on F1 weekend. For me, travelling is an illogical experience which comes at a cost.. Like most interests.

Well Barcelona was amazing and the F1 GP was great to watch.
One thing I would say is that eating out at Tapas bars can be expensive as a dishes of Tapas are not that big. Well not for me any way !
As for drink we had a little corner shop opposite the hotel which sells cans of beer cheaply. So that was that sorted.
We had a reasonable dinner in the Plaza Real at a reasonable price was a bonus.
We had a really good time and I would to go back in the future.
