My more pertinent problem would be whether it would affect my ability to get up in the morning. I have enough trouble as it is!
Actually that's a point. Some of my favourite American websites wouldn't update until I'm about to leave work. Hmm. This will require more pondering.

GMT+1 all year around would be good. GMT+2 in summer would be a bit excessive, wouldn't be getting dark until gone 11 at this time of year.

Some of those arguments are laughable too. How exactly will this create over 60000 extra jobs?

I don't like it, I'd rather be at GMT all year round than faff about changing clocks. I read up on this a while ago and from what I remember the 'benefits' when this was trialled previously were minimal. It's going to be dark at some time, it's just shifting it from one end of the day to the other.

I'd be happy for us to shift back to GMT in October and then not change again. Ever.

I don't really believe all the benefits, but purely from a selfish point of view I like it a lot!
