My dad told me a story once of when he was overseeing a telephone exchange being put in, and one of the installers dropped a reasonably chunky spanner across the output terminals of the battery back up bank (think lots and lots of car batteries) - the spanner flashed instantly into a puddle of molten steel and gave the installer sunburn

My bro did say the connections might spark when I connected the -ve back on, but luckily it didn't.

My dad was well proud when I spoke to him just now!

I'm impressed you could open the bonnet to be honest so changing the battery has Stunned me.
Did you have the code for the stereo ?

Congrats! First step battery, next step full service and cambelt change

Am I the only one that wants to hear the phone conversation as BBx's bro was explaining it? What did they say at Halfords when you put the battery in your suitcase?
