I would go to Google+ but very much resent being forced into using my real name on there when to a lot of people on various media sites I am fairly anonymous. I have a business page on fb & have worked hard to build up a little following. Will be very cross if I am forced out because of this.

It's annoying but it's hardly bad enough to force you to stop using facebook :/

I had mine set up to only show the latest status updates only (most of the news feed is full of crap I'm not interested in). If there isn't a way to just show status updates in the same way it did before, I won't be using it any more.

Never thought of doing that, it seems to work pretty well so far. Rather stupid that you have to do it in the first place mind!

Using lists seems like the way to go. They've given us the feature so may as well use it.
Other option is, apparently, the 'better facebook' plug-in. |

I don't actually care that much about how it works, I meant more if people aren't seeing updates that I send out from the business page then it becomes pointless having it.

It's tolerable, but only just - but the old one was much better. My biggest gripe is filling the screen with random stuff that I don't need. The sooner Facebook stop using Web 2.0 tricks, tickers, and all the rest, and start making things simpler, the better. If it comes to it, I do have a G+ account, but no friends.
Luckily adblock kills my Facebook ticker, and I don't miss it. |

Haha no i take it back , i have the feeling facebook just spammed a lot of my contacts with "confirmations" because i added them to it's pre-defined job and place lists etc... not impressed with that!

How long before the ticker has random adverts in it?
