14 months later and it appears to be knackered. Had a few issues where it wouldn't switch on unless it was plugged in, but charged fine and stayed on after that. A few days ago I charged it completely with it turned on and since then it won't turn on at all. Green light comes on if you plug it in but no response other than that.
Bought it from Amazon - is it likely they'll take it back? 14 months is certainly not a reasonable amount of time for a top of the range satnav to last. Especially as I used it less than ten times since I bought it. Anyone happen to know where I stand in terms of getting money back/a replacement? Edit: And can someone change the thumbs-up symbol by the thread title to a thumbs-down? Cheers.

If its charged, have you tried putting a cocktail/pencil in the reset hole? Its to the left of the cradle eject button

I'm having the exact same problem with mine at the moment and need to get it sorted. If what I have been told is correct you can report the problem through the TomTom website and they will repair it free of charge. |

Wow that's good to know. If a reset doesn't work I'll check it out and let you know how far I get.

After a hell of a lot of looking, I found that the reset button is concealed inside the docking hole where you'd never hope to find it without a detailed guide or sixth sense. On the plus side, normal functions have resumed! (Back to thumbs-up)

I have reset literally hundreds of these things over the years in work - they all do it at some point! 99 times out of 100 the reset button is all that is required to sort them out
