Of course not, no-one else does but I know Mark is a stickler for being 110% above board (I'm sure he's put his head in the oven if the EULA told him to ) so I couldn't help mentioning it.

Moi? Above board? Don't think so.

I'm not entirely sure my XP licenses are above board now - I've been through so many upgrades (both of Windows and the PCs) - that I've lost track. I think at least one is OK, but as they have history right back to at least NT 4.0, I can't be 100% sure.

Anyway, I paid for it, so I'm going to use it.

I'm above board in that all of my licenses are legit.... though I dont own some of them

I know a couple of guys who have action pack & MSDN subscriptions between them, and they all owe me favours, so they sort me out Already secured licenses for Office 2007 Enterprise and Vista Business. Not secured an ultimate license yet though.

Now that I have a laptop which I can happily work on, the main rig will get Vista and Office 2007 when they're available to me. The changes in the GUI are too significant and I need to find my way around (in the RTM release, played with the betas of course, but it's not until you have to use it everyday that you learn about something). Moving from 2K -> XP/2003 was painless really, they're not all that different. Vista's more of a gear change.

My OSes are all above board - it's about the only thing I'd genuinely buy and spend money on. It's less of a hassle. I am a little naughty and get OEM versions through work, but more often than not it's when I do an upgrade anyway.

Oh, and of course, I use Linux on some of my rigs. Hassle free computing.

... once you've learned it anyway

Me too.

With 10 PCs, some of which have had the gubbins removed and put into different cases, I'm not entirely sure which machines have the correct stickers on and which don't.

This will be handy so that I can make sure I know which numbers belong to which boxes for reformat purposes.

This was sent to me today, which might be of use to you people reformatting. Not tried it myself though:

Driver Backup

Looks interesting. Will give it a try on one of my Folding rigs when I get back.

Cheers
