Not via RDP. You can install an X server on your doze box and export DISPLAY to that sever but it's not very efficient.
As for videos in *nix, I use vlc, same as I do on doze Dual screens - you're on ATI arent you? so my twinview config will be of no use? This thread is what you want if it's your ubuntu box.

I have tried that very thread - problem is I dont have two monitors that run at the same res and one is DVI and the other is VGA. It seems that no matter how I set up the config, its either one at the correct res and the other one off (black screen) or the other way round.
