SD-Ram I believe. I will have a look to see if I have any of that lying around too.

Anyone still have anything?

Missed this first time around, so thanks for the bump.

PC-Chips motherboard and XP1700+. Been worked to death for 4-5 years but never overclocked. I can probably find enough bits to make a usable PC out of it, though I'm not sure about a PSU.

Would a 1700+ be overkill if I were to install DOS6.22 on it?

You'd probably have to run some sort of speed limiting app if you are going to be playing really old Dos games but it would work fine. I think I've still got an old 300w PSU that you can have if Mark can't find one.

It'll probably be a few weeks before I can turn attention to it though, and we'll have to sort out getting it to you.

If it's slow you're after, I also have a 550MHz PIII (actually, I'll have to take that out of the case to put the XP1700+ in).

Oh man, the 550 P3 chip is MUCH better
Any chance of a point towards a board and other parts to make a machine out of it?

I'll see what I can find. It takes special RAM but I think I still have some. Going to be a couple of weeks (15th September) before I can look though due to personal reasons and being away next weekend. If that's OK, let me know and I'll set to it then.

That's fine

I may check the OC MM for any budget parts to source - may save you some hassle

Actually, if you *really* want slow. I have a P100 box you can have, pre-built and ready to go. It's a bit non-upgradeable, but it'll certainly run DOS. I have everything for it - monitor, keyboard, mouse, the works - though I'd have to find them.

Cover shipping and it's yours.
