It makes me really sad seeing all the girls I love being so down on themselves. I see it in a lot of gorgeous ladies in work too.
I made a decision a few years ago. I decided that I might never be thinner or more attractive than I was that day and that I didn't want to look back in 20 years on all these missed possibilities of wearing certain clothes or going out because of how I felt about my looks. I decided to enjoy every day as much as I could - and by god I have!

And as for you Kate, you look bloody knockout! Down boy! And kitten, seeing the welcoming smile on your face when we met was absolutely lovely I'm not too keen on how I look now as the people who were in the swimming pool can probably imagine. Hope I didn't put you off too much, it's the first and only time I've taken my top off in public since I came out of hospital. Thank you all for making me feel confident enough in you to do that. LADIES you may lack the Y chromosome required to make you sane but in each and every one of you you have the 2nd X chromosome required to make men on this planet act in an unbelievably stupid manner just on the off chance we can impress you |

I didn't see the proggy but I have seen a few similar sounding ones before and I get an all mixed up feeling inside about them.
Sometimes I am really glad for a person who has surgery because they are genuinely distressed and upset about their looks and have worked so hard to not be... yet cannot seem to get past it. It's great for them that we have such technology that can help them. It does, however, annoy the heck out of me when people just have things done because they can afford to and haven't bothered trying to do things without the aid of surgery. I think the media sucks majorly. It pretty much uberly screwed me up when I was 18/19 making me feel damn right ugly and depressed with myself and hating other girls who would walk around wearing virtually nothing but being able to do that without worrying about their immaculate figures. I nearly got me a boob job piggy. Thing is I was told one of my boobs was going to be half chopped off (medical reasons - a cyst and things - bleh) so I was preparing for the worse. I did see a consultant though and he said "Ooh yes... I can see one boob is slightly bigger than the other" and started to prod them which made me lose what little confidence I had in myself altogether. After finding out I didn't have to have a boob chopped (stupid c**k up by the NHS) I still was sooo sooo close to having my boobs reduced anyway. Gladly though... I didn't... leaving my Bob to be uniquely a squidgy bit bigger than Babs. Bless Bob. I still have days when I'm down, but then other times I just think screw it, it's not worth being like this, I have a good, healthy, body - someone who loves me dearly and really a great life - which you only get one of. I hope you think like this sometimes too piggy - I don't know how I got myself into this thinking mode but it does help massively (unless I'm clothes shopping and then I hate myself!) I wish I could say I felt like this all the time but sadly not so Boo! Piggy - you're gorgeous and lubberly and I heart you dearly! You can only tell how you feel but as long as you know we genuinely mean what we say then that's cool xxxx Wubbles |

Didn't see that program but I know the sort of thing you mean. It worries me with people so young, they haven't even fully formed and know who they are yet and they are all ready for doing something so drastic. It is quite sad. I can see why people want to change things about themselves, sometimes though you can tell it's everything to do with psychology and nothing to do with physical appearance.
I'm not going to say I am entirely innocent of wanting to change things about myself. Some days I think I look OK, other days I try stuff on and think I look grossly overweight in everything. I do (even though I want to be thinner) still buy myself sexy little numbers to give myself a boost. Can't have my weight worries stopping me buying corsets now can I ? As for you Piggy...... *mubslap* for you. I would kill for a figure like yours! Just tell me who have to kill *hugs* |

Pheebs - that doctor sounds a bit odd - all women have one boob bigger than the other!
I worry about ladies who have their breasts reduced when they could lose weight instead. Of course there are some tiny women whose boobs are big and cause back problems but generally the ladies are big all over so they have the operation and carry on eating as they were and their boobs get bigger again. I'm all for doctors surgerys teaming up with gyms to offer programs for people who need them. It would save the NHS loads in the long run by people being able to avoid serious health problems before they start.

Really didn't realise they looked possibly enhanced! That's a new one for the books! Quick fixes = poopy. Though the whole losing weight thingy-ma-bob doesn't seem to be bust reducing for me. Boo! What bothers me is what will happen when booby-enhanced-ladies have babies? Will they pop? :undecided: I recall the doc telling me that I wouldn't be able to breast feed if I had stuff done (well that was the case anyway as Babs was gonna be chopped off. Poor Babs. /me pats Babs.). Surely there could be problems? I wonder whether teenagers really think this through/understand this - I'm sure boobies will change shape and stuff again and they'll end up wanting more done to return them to their previously bought shape? /me is going to have norks the size of a small tree when she gets preggers. Atleast I will be able to store my lunch in the cleavage. /me-with-head-in-boobs "num num num num grapes num num num" |
