Just sorting through some old files and I just discovered the results of when I did it first: Economic Left/Right: -5.00, Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -4.77 so I'm apparantly moving further left. And I thought I was mellowing in my old age.

I was waiting for Feek to post before mentioning it. But it seems that the "Essex man" has struck a bit here. I remember back when labour came to power one of their targets was to convert Essex man and Mondeo man.
I have touches of labour and conservative really. I don't feel that I would vote labour, however the conservatives are rather pants with Cameron. He came in thumping his chest but you only hear a little squeak every now and again. I also disagree with a fair few of their policies really. So generally a new party in the middle would suit me |

They didn't have to do any converting with me.

Economic Left/Right: -2.50
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -2.46 I was hoping to be spot on the middle to be really confused about the way I feel! edit: I redid the test so I wasn't distracted at work - my answers varied by .5 nothing more. I'm happy with that.

It's a good quiz, although the concept behind it is perhaps of greater interest than the quiz itself (i.e. reconsidering the traditional 'bipolar' political line with an additional axis). I've taken it a number of times now, and have shifted around within it (as the test and my outlook on life have changed) although have as far as I remember remained in the same quarter (bottom-right).
Economic Left/Right: 4.00 Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -5.95 I seem, at the moment, quite lonely on the compass. |
