I check most days because (a) I like to keep track of things now I'm supposed to be more careful, (b) it's easier than checking statements, and (c) it's quicker.

I got stung to the tune of almost £3,000 over Christmas 2006 (being at my parents then meant I didn't check for a few days but they were still putthing stuff through even when I did check - Lastminute holidays and London Congestion Charge - cheeky beggars).

Alas, checking most days didn't stop me going 32p overdrawn last month.

When I used to travel extensively in my old job I only every used my credit card since it offered me a little extra protection than a debit card.

Thats the thing i don't keep receipts or have statements delivered. I check online occasionally, but there are quite a few things i probably don't recognise as i've been drunk in a random bar etc...

It's not really very helpful, i should start keeping receipts as i'm £10 down from ikea now because i threw the reciept away and i bought something broken... Well i haven't tried taking it back yet, but i imagine they won't be having much of it...
