Just watched this
Was the screener as well but seemed pretty perfect for me (Feek sucks). Very much enjoyed it I can imagine there were a few bits that you didn't like Tak

As for being like 28 Days Later, the book and original film far pre-date this so, if anything, 28 Days is the one doing the copying here. Having seen IAL, I still prefer The Omega Man - a true classic and still well worth watching if you've not seen it.

Gathering a copy now and already have a copy of the book which I'll be reading after I finish Making Money (which means my plan of reading all the Discworld novels before anything else has failed ).

Hollywood really butchered this movie, they just can't handle a sad ending.
Will Smith is good in it, I like watching him on screen, just wish he had better material to work with. |

I don't like Will Smith but the first 15 minutes of the film look set to be quite good. The Mustang scene at the start is such a lame attempt at product placement though, it's really starting to annoy me.

Spoiler Alert! - Highlight below to read!
I liked it, but it could have been so much better There were so many directions they could have taken this (and the book had the best idea) but they didn't seem to want to commit to anything. Was he mad? Was he evil? Were the zombies organised? Who set the trap? What was the religion crap all about? I would have loved it to expose the arrogance of humans more but meh! God forbid there be an intellectual backdrop to a blockbuster End Spoiler Alert!

Pebs you hit the nail on the head for me. Good film, good choice of actor, all the great possibilities there, but it didn't meet its potential.
Watched Omega Man this morning. Wow.. far better film in some regards, but in others a bit "meh"... Spoiler Alert! - Highlight below to read! at least they were prepared to kill off the lead character effectively End Spoiler Alert!

Paul is refusing to watch this in disgust at the Hollywood ending when he loves the book.

I'm waiting for a decent HD copy to appear and then I'll take a gander.

I watched it a couple of nights ago, and was quite disappointed.
It started well, meandered through an average plot and ended disappointingly. It could have been so much better. |
