I'm pretty sure this thing is more than my life's worth

[edit]Looking at FF now Belmit It apparently also has a couple of niggles but I have more control of that than I do Safari!

I never did get the point in huge laptops. Surely that defeats the object of portable computers and renders them nothing more than ego enhancing fashion statements.

Is the screen that good i heard of horrid dithering problems even with the pro's no?

//From an official mac hate (well not hater, but avoider) i'd probably like to try OSX properly but without having to buy a mac

Most of the 'Mac haters' I know at the very least compliment the screen on the Pro. We've had a few of the 23" Apple cinema displays delivered here as well and they are just amazing. Very hard to describe - they're almost glossy and matt at the same time!

Yeah, there were dithering problems once. An OS X update appears to have taken care of most of them.

Should clarify that it's nor for me, but for some fool in marketing. I'm happy with a proper linux machine thank you

I'd love one. It would be just like working on a normal desktop machine (if you plug in a mouse) but gives you the portability that you just can't get with a desktop.
