Yeah it did take me a while to find the right version, the original GS has the most amount of RAM and a nice fast processor compared to some of the later version of the G/GS and even the GL (which is the one designed for 3rd party firmware). Think i actually scored it off eBay in the end. Well worth the effort, and i didn't have to bother with modems since we get ours with Virgin Worth it just for the realtime AJAX bandwidth graphs
