goto to some place like currys and have a look. I went for a cheap one from a friend as all the expensive ones had a very dull display and you wouldn't be able to see them in direct light.
They are actually very good, I just uploaded loads of pics on it for her and it just random changes them every 10 seconds or so. I'm pretty sure it was one of these but in black. http://www.dixons.co.uk/martprd/stor...ory_oid=-31959 The display beat even the £100 mark ones. But doesn't have remote and all the other silly gimmicks.

I bought the Sony 7'' frame. Its got an aspect ratio of 15:4 which is a little odd but I set the photos to fill the frame and its fine. Its got a really stunning display and a remote which is handy for my Dad. Loaded it up with photos of my nephew, my work and things he likes that I spent time taking photos of and its brilliant. I want one for myself now.

I got my Dad one of these (Varnam one) for his 60th a few months back, he loves it
