Google throws up a few suggestions:
http://www.ehow.com/how_2067335_stop...lling-its.html http://www.perfectpaws.com/baldog.html All of the ones I glanced at said its in the pets best interest to get it checked out at the vet in case it is something serious |

It's less than £30 at my vet for a check-up. I bet you probably spend more than that on beer in one night!

Vets can be expensive — they charged £230.00 for an overnight stay for my ex's dog — I told them it would be cheaper to stick it in a 5-star hotel for a night.
However, regardless of cost, pets need the right care. As Matblack says, the PDSA might be able to help you out.

*echo peoples vets comments*
Our lil lady is turning out to be an expensive blighter, but she's worth every penny of it. |

went round my mates who is a long time breeder of lurchers and a doggie guru. he had a look and produced a tin of "cut and heal" and said put this on it it clears up anything
so i'll give that a whirl, if not it will be the vets but i am faithful as my mate knows his stuff |

Good good, lets hope it all clears up
Is he left alone a lot? I think some dogs start to do that out of boredom don't they? I should check with my mum as she knows a fair bit about dogs.
