I find it hard to believe that someone would see an advertisment on television and get up off their bott botts and compile and email / make a phonecall to complain!

I think though that it is the fact that it takes a serious effort to complain that the Advertising Standards Agency take it even when its a relatively small number of people who do phone to make the point.

We should pick a really average and mundane advert and all send in a complaint of some sort. Wonder if we can get it taken off the air

We should take offence at those badly dubbed cleaning product adverts.

Or the nappy ones they show at teatime, I really wanted to see a babies bum when I'm trying to eat :/

It's about the average figure for stuff getting pulled. It's rare even the most offensive gets more than 100...

I complained to the ASA once over an advert, can't remember what it was for but it was a bit freaky and it upset Josh, there were bees stinging someone.

I got a nice letter off them in reply, and the ad got made post-watershed, but not because of what I complained about.
