Crusty bread, cream cheese instead of butter/margarine, and thick slices of cheddar cheese and sweet apple.
Don't knock it till you've tried it It's a surprisingly delicious combination

Waitrose do a scrummy mozzarella and roast tomato wrap, which I treat myself to sometimes.
Generally I'll try and get cheese and tuna in a baguette.

Tomato, ready-salted crisps, mayo and black pepper on white bread with Sharwoods Chilli Sauce to dip into.
I also like mushroom toasties and just ordinary salad on white bread with a bit of Heinz salad cream I was working at a client site recently and the salad sandwich worked out at just 50p - every penny counts, etc.

I can not, ever, beat a spicy italian from subway, with extra onions, mayonaise, some jalepenos and have it toasted.
I've tried (in vain) to recreate the awesomeness at home but it never comes out right |
