Old quicker than the generations of massively played arcade games and console ports of beat-em ups that don't offer this at all and only have fighting? . People want repetition in a fighting game.

It's more just the way it seems so scripted. Whilst I understand there is going to be repetition to a fighting game, having one scripted sequence that happens almost the same every time will get tiresome. Hopefully there are more similar ones but that are different.

It's like the backstage stuff in Smackdown vs Raw, after a while the novelty of 'bang his head into the firetruck to make the ladder go up then climb it push him off and jump on him' gets old because it plays out virtually exactly the same every time.

I see your point, but I think that all fighting games are made with 2 players in 1 on 1 in mind rather than fighting the A.I. so something wouldn't appear so scripted.

Aye, just repetitive scripting annoys me. Like playing through Half Life 2 for the second time, half the magic is lost because everything that seemed so exciting and clever the first time round is just playing out exactly the same again.

I just hate having fluidity and dynamic gameplay interrupted watching half interactive psuedo cut scenes all the time
