Toyota Prii in the outside lane doing 90mph+. Now I'll admit that I irrationally dislike the cars to begin with but when they're belting along the motorway then it's completely defeating whatever limited point they had to begin with (let's not worry too much about the fact that it takes up more resources to make a new Prius than you'll ever recoup in running one vs pretty much any other existing car). And I'd almost bet the drivers of said Prii would sanctimoniously inform you that they're doing their bit to save the environment - not when you're doing 90mph+ down the motorway you're not you plank.

Almost certainly a company car driver who hates it as much as you and is only driving it after being forced to by bean counters due to tax breaks. Or so I've been told........ p.s. I'm not sure the resource thing is true anymore either as the batteries now all come from recycled sources unlike the old ones which is where the whole resource argument came from. I'm finishing this with an IIRC to cover my ass when I'm proven wrong Last edited by Del Lardo; 13-06-2011 at 23:30. |

You may well be right about that and I'm glad to hear that such an obvious flaw has been addressed. I should have said people buying new cars generally and claiming it was greener than simply running the existing cars (i.e. all materials to build the car have already been utilised) but I was on a rant about Prii so didn't make that as clear as I could have and that's my fault.

I agree with you on that one Mei, very annoying.
Text speak, a colleague of mine who is on Facebook has just typed "wens" and "tym". It is one extra letter and the correct one for time!! Arghh so frustrating.

If I was passing you at 90+mph you'd hear me coming half a mile away as it would be in a silly plastic car with a metro engine and a loud exhaust. I'm normally found pootling along at 70mph in a 1.5 diesel trying to get over 62mpg |

This is not irrational. But people speaking in the cinema and then having the audacity to answer back.
