You rock at writing reviews too Haly so you should without a doubt keep it up!

Exactly the same as me. Getting free games is a bonus of course, especially if it's something I was going to get myself, but I do it because I enjoy it

Things got busy this past month and I like it

Skipping over the usual things that are still going as well as ever, I've written one article in particular I'm quite pleased of, mostly because of the personal element to it.
Pity that I don't think many people actually read it but it was a bit of a niche piece and I suspect the average reader wanted to read about the new WoW expansion pack instead

It's on Motion Control and Disability, from a somewhat negative perspective rather than the usual look at things. It's a personal piece as it directly affects my Mum. http://thegamereviews.com/article-14...sability-.html is the link.

Anyway, the main news is much more exciting, at least for me it is

I was promoted to UK Reviews Editor for theportablegamer.com and gamesareevil.com
This means I liaise with PR contacts, request games for review, appoint an UK and European based review team and of course still write reviews!
It's cool to have new responsibilities and already enjoying emailing various PR people within the industry to request games.
Currently there's only 3 of us on the European review team (including our very own Davey Pitch!) but as the games flood in when Autumn hits, I expect this number to increase.

Only been doing it a couple of weeks but doing well so far.

Had Ashes Cricket 2009 on the 360 arrive and more excitingly, Batman: Arkham Asylum for the PS3 is arriving today or tomorrow which was good going
Also got a few other games yet to be released promised to us but can't name them just yet.

As I've already said to you Jen, I'm really happy for you the way things are going of late. Being made a reviews editor is awesome, and having done it once before, I know how much work it takes to do it and to do it well. I'm sure you'll be awesome at it

I am jealous of you getting Batman though

Yeah I'm very pleased to have Batman on the way Didn't have to worry about abusing my power as I'm currently the only PS3 owner on the team although that'll be changing soon. I like to think I'll be fair when it actually comes to decision making.
