Ironically PES has sucked since 6 with 5 arguably being the last good one. Fifa got good at 08 and has kicked on since to become what is arguably the greatest serious football game ever made.
Let me know when you want some games online! |

I started the first Uncharted last night, one of two games I bought back from NY, the other being Ghostbusters on 360 (CES two blocks from the hotel <3). Definitely feel the Tomb Raider in it but enjoyed the start, looking forward to carrying on
Not quite the PS3 showcase I was expecting mind, so far. It does look great, but there's a lot of noticeable texture loading and frame rate slowdowns in the prettier areas. Might just be my copy It's not bad enough to get annoyed with, just noticeable. It does sound ace though. In fact both MGS4 and so far this have seemed to make better use of my surround setup than anything I can think of on the 360.

Not so much playing, but i've been testing a lot of songs for Rock Band. Great sense of achievement watching a song go from it's first build all the way to the final version to be used in game. Hard work though, but fun.

Still playing MW2 here but not so much at the moment, finished up Army of Two 40th day which was a real letdown, especially with all the glitches and bugs, one of which included wiping all my money, guns, stats and progress so I had to start over.
Trying to fit in Mass Effect 2 but I want to get Battlefield Bad Company finished before the second one arrives. I also have a stack of cheap games I bought from shopto.net over Christmas that I haven't even looked at yet! Last edited by Wyrdo; 03-02-2010 at 12:54. |

Completed MW2 on Veteran a few days ago and are looking to go for the 1000/1000 by completing Spec Ops - I've got quite a few stars to go but it's great co-op fun despite being bloody hard on 3*!
Anybody who fancies a bit of spec ops and sees me jump online - drop me an invite

Completed Mass Effect 2 earlier and loved it
Still a few flaws there but it'd be nitpicking to really complain. Enjoyed it a lot more than the original thanks to its stronger storytelling. Hopefully have a more leisurely second playthrough shortly. Also won a collector's edition copy recently for the PC so I'll have to give that a shot too Be rude not to As an aside, completing ME2 gave me enough achievement points toll me over the 100k gamerscore mark. Perhaps not as big an accomplishment now that a few BDers have done it beforehand but still quite nice to see it. Even if I have completely lost the urge to scorewhore! Now to move onto Bayonetta Been lucky with the review copies lately!

Glad you enjoyed Mass Effect 2. I've just completed the first one and it was absolutely fantastic, easily the best game I've played since Fallout 3 and wiped the floor with everything released last year, mainly because of its story telling. If the second one is better then I'm in for a treat.
Well done on winning a collector's edition, GAME stores lost my pre-order (in-store, not online), and I'm still pretty bitter. I waited in store for 90 minutes for someone else to try and get their pre-order and buy it off them (no one wanted to), so I'm still quite bitter as I was going to send it to my mate and get it signed by the producer/director at BioWare. About time you broke 100k. I wouldn't say I've stopped scorewhoring, I do find achievements a major reason for why Xbox360 is so much more fun to play than others but my methods have changed, it's all about the completions rather than the points. I hope your scorewhoring comes back, it's always nice when you do. I really need to get back to Bayonetta, I meant to post it off to you weeks ago and forgot, I've not touched it in a month as I ended up playing other stuff (including a full playthrough of Mass Effect) and quite a lot of Darksiders, |
