As it is Shrove Tuesday, this lunchtime me and my boss tottered down to Spitalfields/Brick Lane in search of pancake goodness/crepes but stumbled across...

THE GREAT SPITALFIELDS PANCAKE RACE!

One of the teams participating in this race is called 'Kwik Flip'

More info about it here: http://www.alternativearts.co.uk/events/pancake

We acheived our goal and I had a cheese and mushroom crepe (nom! )

I hearteth the pancakes!!! looking forward to tonight!

BB x

PS on another note, Kat was saying that the council have banned the curry restauranteurs from standing outside and shouting their prices - one of the many reasons why the curry meets were entertaining boo!

And I'm out...

Moved 4 filing cabinets, managed to drop the empty one on my foot Moved a rainforest worth of paper about. Read records, checked dates, marked up when we can start destroying stuff. Jarred my back stacking the archive boxes. Created lots of recycling. Have stacks of stuff to shred tomorrow. Feel like I've been in the gym all day instead of at work - I don't think a single bit of me doesn't ache, but its the good ache of knowing everything is done for another year

Whilst locked up there alone for 8 hours, my mind began to wander and I have come up with a theory...

1. Trees are alive.

2. Paper is made from trees.

3. Paper retains the "treeness" from when it was once a tree (it can do this because of point 1)

4. Part of "treeness" is being *uckin' heavy

Therefore

5. When you are shifting boxes of paper, you are essentially shifting boxes of trees

6. You are therefore allowed to b*itch about how much you ache after doing it all day

(the above is also a demonstration of why I shouldn't be left on my own too long )

We just took the Trio for her first walkies! She was AWESOME! Bless her! Bit nervous but heeled well and sat when asked and EVERYTHING!

*is proud*

Picky's just trimmed up too and I finished off so he's looking like a smart boy now!

Bath time in a minute, washing of the hair and then.... AND THEEEEEEEN...

PAN CAKE TIME!

Pan cake, bacon and le maple syrup (bought for an extortionate £3.55 from our local Spar.... darn me for not checking whether we had it)! Pictures will ensue on the fuddage forum... then mebbe a red wine sauce with sausages.

THEN. AND THEEEEEN.... I'm eating all the crisps and chocolate I can find so I can give it up with a fight tomorrow for lent.

AND then... that's it... All done!

YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!

*wibbles and jiggles with joy!*

Wanna come do my house? Rainforest? Check. Records? Check. Dates? Check. Shredding? Check. I even have a filing cabinet, though I don't plan on moving it.

Your argument seems sound to me.

Me - Regained access to the lounge last night. Today, lifted two crates of stuff out of the pile to sort. Hoped they'd be full of magazines that I could just deposit in the recycling bin, but that wasn't to be so they'll take a little longer to sort. Still want to try and do it by Thursday though so may take a half day off or something.
