I've noticed recently a propensity for some to use 'My bad' in place of an apology. Maybe it's my perception but I feel it's one thing to acknowledge a mistake and another entirely to apologise for it. 'My bad' isn't an apology as far as I'm concerned. I'm not entirely pleased with the grammar of it either.

Cyclists who don't wear head protection on busy roads. I know it's up to them, but it still annoys me.

Craving food soooo much only to have it and be sorely disappointed and eat it anyway hoping it will get better but only to go "Ugh" at the end of it.

I fancied crab and sweetcorn soup... so Sam and I went to Chinese take out (one never been to before) and order this with squid in chilli flakes and grilled dumplings.

Reasonably healthy eh?

But no. The soup = salt with fish sticks, the squid was in batter deep fried with salt and chilli (nb there was squid in batter on the menu too so we figured this would be healthy/pan cooked) and the dumplings were blatently pan fried but had sausage meat in them!? Not like... properly freshly grounded pork with shrimps and veg.

Ugh. Bleh bleh bleh.

#1 Canteen menu this week

Monday: Curry (Chicken Jalfrezi)
Tuesday: Bhaji's and something
Wednesday: Thai Curry
Thursday: Some other curry

arghghgh.

#2 The Tube. Had to wait for the 3rd one on Bakerloo this morning, insane, normally Bakerloo line is fine around Marylebone at 8:30. The MD who took the same train says he let about five go past! Wednesday is either going to be brilliant because no-one will be working, or a complete disaster because 15,000 people descend onto London to complain about the fact that to get their pension I'd need to be paid about £80k or fork out so much a month I couldn't afford to eat.

#3 Had healthy meal last night, well reasonable. Salmon (twice cooked, cooked once and then stuck back into the oven after I decided it wasn't actually cooked). Problem is the house still smells like a fish. The Coq au vin smell was at least okay the morning after and wasn't there 24 hours later!

*Rant over.*

On a similar topic, cyclists with stupid strobing lights that are really annoying and cyclists (strobers and non strobers alike) with horrendously badly aligned lights that do nothing more than blind me as they go sailing gaily down the middle of the road.

I find cyclists annoying in general. It's because the majority of them seem to want to be recognised as "legitimate" road users (rather than simply rapidly moving pedestrians), but then also decide to ignore all the rules of the road, so they jump (or totally ignore) red lights, don't bother signalling, can't be arsed to upkeep their bikes properly, jump on and off the kerb when they feel like it, weave dangerously thourgh traffic, ignore speed limits, etc. etc.

Look guys, if you want to be treated like a motorbike without an engine, ride like it's a motorbike, if you want to be treated like a pedestrian, get the **** off the road!

I know I've said that bikers who keep their main beam on annoy me, and suicidal power ranger types need to be hospitalised ASAP so they reduce the chaos they cause, but can you imagine if bikers rode like cyclists?

And yes, I know not all cyclists are like this, but it seems to me that the majority are...

Grrrr...

and breathe....

After having 3 incidents with cyclists while learning to drive I hate them! One decided to cut across a foot in front of me (2nd lesson), I had a "speed" cyclist weaving in and out of traffic and clip my mirror and the other one just rode straight into the side of the bonnet (I was stationary)
