I don't think they already do it, but if it had some kind of file transfer option (for example for storage of photos via USB, rather than via a PC) then I would certainly be interested. When going on holiday it would certainly save on taking the laptop and watching films and playing games on the move would be far easier.

That and you can buy multi use notebook chargers too, which i own as well and charge multiple units off, might very well be handy for you travels. Mine plugs into the car, plane, 3 different sockets and has laptop and1 usb out for laptop and phone/usb device charging. It remembers and "sets" its previous voltage. Suits upto 90w! Sounds like that would be exactly what you want man! |

I have had numerous multi charger thingys and they've all died after a short space of time so it has put me off getting another. It was a year or so ago that the last one went in the bin so maybe I should pick one up when I go through Heathrow tomorrow.

I have the same problem - failing to find a use for one. The Plane/Train one is a good choice, no doubt. Unfortunately since I own two Archos players and managed to let the batteries die in both due to disuse, that's another black mark on the iPad card for me. Admittedly they're old models so can't do most of the things the iPad can. |

finding a use isn't a problem for me, however price is. I'll defo be waiting to see what the MSI android is like as that is meant to be £300.
But then also seems a waste as I have an iphone and so certain apps are cross compatible. Seems a waste to get two sets of apps. Here's hopping in a few months time 2nd hand will knock a £100 or so off the price.

Well I've had it for a couple of days now and I'm loving it. When I'm sitting in front of the telly I normally find that I pick up my laptop from time to time but I've just not done so since I got this. If I want to do anything then the iPad is doing exactly what I want.
Took it to work today and it really has the "wow" factor. The on screen keyboard is great, I can touch type on it better than i could on my Dell mini-9 easily. Yes, it's just an iPod Touch with a big screen but the screen makes all the difference. If I carry on like this then it will turn out to be a replacement for the laptop which may get sold. I didn't expect to enthuse about it like this but it really is superb.

I'll agree with Feek, the keyboard is great! I was able to type without any issue on it, the only downside is not having the number row always visible.

I still can't imagine that keyboard is nicer to use than my netbook i'm using now? its true different keyboards for different strokes etc... And you might not have got on well with the mini 9 because it certainly is tiny, i've tried the acer aspire one and i'm not all that impressed either. But my mini 10 is in the just the right size category, i can type full speed on it with ease (i think they might be pretty much 100% size though this might be why) and they're super comfy!
