People slamming doors, I appreciate sometimes that there's nothing quite as good for making a scene as slamming the door as one storms off in a petulant little huff but it loses a lot of its impact when it is done on a daily basis. The thing that bothers me isn't so much that they feel the need to do that as it is the lack of respect for other peoples property.

I try not to have 'spurious' people on FB, in fact I have two rules when adding people: 1. No-one I haven't met in person 2. No family or extended family from an older generation (parents, aunts/uncles etc, either mine or the gf's) Colleagues are the only slight 'issue' sometimes as, in our fairly small office, everyone knows everyone and it's almost expected that we all have each other on FB, but I do quite often hide my own updates from them or even remove them from my wall, especially when they post nothing except football chatter!

This is entirely rational but I'm going to rant anyway.
****ING ROYAL MAIL!!! BASTARDS. Got a card Thursday saying 'parcel too big' so taken back to depo. Saturday, head over to depo (driving distance away), park up, go in, queue outside the tiny office for 10 minutes freezing to death, get to counter, forgot my ID. My fault. Went back to car to get it, can't get back in to get to counter so wait again. Waited 20 minutes altogether, get to window, chap in front of me first time around is still there waiting. They lost his parcel. I wait 5 minutes while she tits about, comes back and says she can't find it, but she'll ring me on Monday as he's probably left it in his bag/van. Not impressed but I said ok, just re-deliver on Tuesday, but ring me Monday anyway to let me know it's coming. Monday 5pm, nothing. So rang from home and she said It's not turned up so she's passed it to the supervisors/managers. They'll ring me today. No call. At just before 5 I ring up, they let the phone ring until just gone 5 then pick up and say 'Did no-one call you, well unfortunately they've gone home now but you should call back in the morning'. So yeah. I'll ****ING CALL YOU BACK EH? Worst thing is I don't have any idea what this was so I can't tell whoever sent it that I haven't got it. Bastards. I'm gonna say it was a Ferrari. **** 'em.

Maybe no-one wants to touch it because the postman has been rubbing his sack all over it.

Not that you need it but some further ammo for you: It is an offence for a postie to leave a parcel in their van/sack over night. It should be returned to the depot the same day. If the depot is closed for any reason they have to take it to a post office and bag it up properly, with all the reference numbers and codings on the parcels (plus a signature, time and date) and then that will get dropped back to the depot in the morning prior to posties packing up and leaving.
I'd ask to see the paper trace for the parcel which should be with the depot and that you want copies. I would then forward the above to the HQ. Call shenanigans. Hated being a postie. Bunch-of-barstewards. Plus they keep losing my post to Gem. Mind... I did draw a stick man of a lady... from a certain country... firing ping pong balls... on the back of the envelope on one of them.
