I've edited it but Kitten has quoted the original - devastated

Another eBay one.
I was waiting to snipe two things last friday and an hour before end the seller took them off :/ I need them for this weekend! I emailed her and asked why and got this reply: "Hi, Yes, sorry - I have relisted them. It is because they were finishing later today and I have gone away for a few days and didn't want to have them sat around waiting to be posted. As they didn't have any bids yet, I thought it better to stop the listing and then start again. Really sorry if that has caused you problems. There were plenty of watchers so I had to weigh up between people losing patience with me not posting or taking a chance and relisting. Hope that explains things :-) Rachel" So... waiting a couple of days (I was going to pick them up) against relisting for another 7 days?! Crazy!!! I liked the fact that she made a point of saying that there were several people watching. So I replied saying nevermind I needed them this week anyway and got this this morning: "Hi, I am selling these for a friend and I'm happy to ask her if she would take an offer - I could send them over to Worthing for cash on collection if she was happy with the offer. Let me know what you think? Rachel" ANNOYING! BB x |

BBx, doesn't she mean she was way from home when the auction was due to end so they can't be posted/picked up if she's not there, so she's re-listed to be sent/picked up when she'll be back home? That's how I read her reply. Annoying nonetheless! But then eBay is just a big ball of annoyance these days

I annoy myself when I stumble slightly, and then automatically say "OW!" even though I haven't hurt myself.

Personal one here as it only affects me when it's someone I am close to who has passed away...
but... My family who insist on remembering loved ones who have passed... on the day that they passed away and consider it an "anniversary". I just... I hate it... the last thing I want to remember about my Nan is her on her death bed with an ulcerated tongue, struggling to breathe, unable to talk with eyes full of tears. It's horrible. Why not leave that date as it is and remember them on their birthdays or at special times where you have fond memories and how I should imagine they will all want to be remembered!! It's a personal thing, mainly over my Nan and a couple of close friends who have passed. I just smile and respect it's what some poeple want to do but absolutely hate it! I have told Sam and family I forbid them to "remember" me on any "anniversarys" of my death if I go before them and said I will come back and haunt them in a freaky deaky way if they do!! Oh and another thing that really miffs me off... flowers being left at sites where people have died (namely car crash victims with flowers taped to a lamp post). I mean... once again... really!?? Do you really want to remember your loved one where they were mangled in a car crash?! I think it's horrible. Plus, taping flowers to a lamp post and leaving them there to wilt and die. It's all a bit grotesque looking to me!! Personally I would go to a place I know they loved and leave a solitary flower there as a personal remembrance. Or plant something!! Anything but some taped flowers to a metal pole with a blotty ink note left to run and become unreadable in the rain. I don't understand why people do this, it just makes no sense to me! Although I do my best to respect it! /grumpy old lady |

The roadside thing confuses me too. Apart from anything else, it's dangerous & distracting. The do it a lot in Europe (Greece, in particular) but I don't know why it's come here.

As for me... having to stop myself constantly correcting people's grammar in emails/forums/facebook/reports/etc... It's such a bad habit, it comes across as arrogant and elitist and I frustrate myself with doing it. I have been very good recently at not doing it, however sometimes my OCD's need to tell people becomes overwhelming. This is particularly stupid as I'm not perfect in my use of grammar or spelling either Well this IS irrational after all?!
