Interesting thanks, I've been borderline on buying a ps3 for ages and I was hoping the multiplayer stuff I like COD etc would have dedicated servers, then I would stop using the live service and just play those games on the sony.

I was thinking of selling my whole set up to fund a ps3 and buy all my rockband songs again. The only thing keeping me on the 360 now is the amount i've spent on DLC. I figured if I could ebay the lot including my tag and DLC I would earn enough to fund buying it again on the ps3.

It's also getting on my tits that I have a sometimes flaky adsl line and when I go offline I can't play my DLC because 5 months after a change of console they still haven't transferred my licenses

I would hazard it's your connection more than anything. Only problems I get are down to my Sky Router which has woeful wireless range. I've played a lot of LIVE games and I would say I encounter a problem maybe 1 in every 20 games.

And Happy Birthday dude .

Nah it's not my connection. I'm talking about the crappy lag that everyone takes for granted in COD4. The same with gears2 and everyone accepted the host advantage in gears 1.

Stick your Graw2 disc in and search for a co-op campaign or 16 player deathmatch and see how badly that game cannot cope with that many players.

I played an awful lot of COD4 with the regulars on ocuk and there was barely a game where someone isn't getting bad hit recog. This is public matches not private.

The other night I was playing gears with Krono and Kreeee and a few others and it was interesting to hear the lag in what was happening on each others screens. People would be dead on my screen then a second later they would be asking for help of saying behind you and then curse because they died.

You can't help someone whose already dead on your screen

I'd like to see game makers taken to task for releases such as PES GRAW and Gears that have bad code and are selling the game as a multiplayer game.

I actually tried GRAW2 last week, got a game straight away which was awesome, but tried again a bit later and it was dead. The game I played had 16 players though and there wasn't a problem with it... It must be fixed now.

The only truly God awful games I've played are all the PES games (except new one, not tried it) and Gears of War 2 when it came out.

I played the Darkness online with my mate, it wasn't the greatest MP game, but there wasn't an issue. Couldn't comment on a full ranked match though.

Never found how to turn off Auto-Renew on the console or on My Xbox, so I called Xbox Support instead. Relatively simple although the bloke was a tad strange. Just had an Expiration email come through so hopefully that's all sorted.
