Missed Yuri. They were chatting with him on BBC News before it was confirmed and he was obviously upset even then.

That'll piss off the people who paid vastly inflated prices for tickets on eBay.

Shame to see that he's died, he was a great performer and 50 is far too young to go.

His early days were awesome....but then he turned in to a modern day freak show
It's a shame his life turned out that way.

Nooooooo.

I wasn't dreaming

It's odd. I've never been completely gutted over any celeb dying really. But this. I'm beyond sad. Everyday... evvvvveeery day, without fail, I would listen to my Micky J cassettes when I was ickle. It's the first music I recall falling in love with. One day actually, we had our cassettes knicked from the car and I was properly sad. I think I even cried! lol.

I have sooooooo many memories which involve doing stupid dances to his music. I got my school in a dance competition where we re-did the Smooth Criminal scene once and we won it! In fact... looky... an old photo of me practising the leany bit!

(Scuse the dodgy wall paper - my parents did it for me whilst I was away skiing... I was like "Nooooo!" lol)

But yeh. The next year we did Micky J Thriller and I was MJ and we won that too... but it's unsurprising because it's all completely legendary dance moves!! And I have memories of singing with my bro to his choons - we'd be in hysterics at Siberian Girl! The intro always sounded like "Nuppa nuppa pia, nuppa nuppa pia, pens away" and we thought it was funny as. Silly really. I never knew the words to Smooth Criminal when I was ickle ickle either and there's a video of me somewhere wondering about with my head phones singing "Sony sony walkman... sony walkman... sony walkman ANnnnnie!" (supposed to be Annie or you okay, are you okay, are you okay annie!). I didn't realise I was being filmed and was busting some ickle kid moves too!

Aww.

Seriously.

Gutted.

I've always massively wanted to see a Micky J musical (like Queen styley We Will Rock You). I can imagine now this has happened it won't be long until they do do something like this. It would be sold out in seconds.

RIP MJ Thanking you for many happy memories.

He was undoubtedly a troubled individual, but very much a genius at the same time in terms of his music.
