Right well I didn't get the sponsored masters place *sobs*. So now it's time to move this beast.

Got a mate with a 4x4 and trailer license. But only a small car trailer which it wont fit on.
Anyone any ideas where I can hire a trailer from and what exactly I need?

Would this do?

However it's not long enough. Are you allowed overhang? cars 5.2 long and that trailer load capacity is 4.8.

Well that didn't happen when we worked out the weights it was about 500kilos over the cars towing weight.

The mr2 people don't appear to be able to do it, same as the other people I have contacted. It's just too big.

So any others people can think off? I'm sure when I got it from Scunthorpe, that I used a website that emailed a ton of companies and they all replied with quotes.
Wish I could remember what it was and who I used.

Man, I wish I could do something to help!! If it was over here I could do it in a heartbeat. Flatbed trailer from U-haul and a 2" receiver to put in my hitch. Or a 26 foot U-haul truck and a loading dock. Or get a hold of my old neighbor who drove semi truck...

Don't we have an arctic driver on here? A pair of 2X6's on edge and a come-along and you could roll it into a trailer.

do you still need this moving?

If you do, i may know someone who I could borrow a car trailer from, and have a range rover so should be able to manage to tow it!
will make a few calls this week

Thanks for the offer fakesnake, but I think I have it sorted. Found a comparison site and got some great quotes. under the 100 mark. will have to get back to parents and get it ready for moving. put some wheels and stuff back on it and double check it will fit on the drive.

Who did you end up using?
I think mine needs to go from the Luton area all the way up to the Glasgow area, not looking forward to this in any shape or form!!

Haven't used anyone yet, need to get it into a rolling state and a bit skint from spain.

But got quotes through
www.cartransportbroker.co.uk
But it seems to be down.

IIRC it only cost me a little more when I got it from Scunthorpe think it was around teh £150 mark.
