I doubt they will get them directly, simply because if the merger with Orange happens, they'll get them that way.

If the OP does the unthinkable and uses her phone.....AS A PHONE, then the pathetic allowances on the iPhone tariffs make the device a nice plexi glass and metal white elephant.
The iPhone is a hell of a piece of kit, but it isn't without it's flaws. If you use more than the miserly minutes/texts they're giving for £30, then Hero is the way to go without question in my opinion. |

From when I've used the Hero ans what my friends had said, it is a shocking device which looses contact details, drops calls, freezes and has poor data connection.
Saying that the iPhone does have its problems, but I am yet to have any. I'm by no means a fanboy and try out all phones and read about them a lot. As Apol says, the contracts aren't ideal if you are a heavy user, you don't get a lot for your money and you may find yourself spending a lot more.

Surely that depends on entirely how much Lostkat uses it as a phone? If she's a light user and the figures she quoted for the tarrif are sufficient then what's the problem?

With regards to the shockingly horrific tariff allowances ( ). I've already said I won't go over the allowances, so I'm quite happy with that. I'm not fully decided yet, but the comments in this thread have given me a few things to think about. Thanks

I think the iPhone's awesomeness has been detailed enough by Will and others in this thread so will just add that they are reasonably robust with a good case on...after having a tiny bit to drink I've (apparently) taken to throwing my phone over my shoulder! It's survived so far

Just as long as you don't expect anyone to be catching it.
They're pretty robust so long as pointy things don't hit the screen and they don't get wet (Apple include several moisture-sensitive pads - instant void warranty if they get wet). |

Let me know what you chose kate - I gotta be honest, I'd quite like an ipod now, and as Will has said, an iphone gets rid of one thing in my pocket. but to be honest, I'm concerned about the monthy price. At the moment I probably pay about £25 a month, cant remember my allowances though
