So 40mb connection from eclipse and a limit of 60gb per month at peak hours for a bargain £50 per month...

So glad I'm leaving them soon.

Apparently BT still has shocking AUP policies. Using 60gb generates an email and they throttle you back to the stoneage. The limit is 100gb, and then you are throttled for 30 days. About as much use as a chocolate fireguard then :/

Whilst Braintree isn't listed to have this, whilst out on our walk this morning I noticed "BT FTTC" had been sprayed on to the ground about two feet away from an old green exchange box

Looks like they are getting ready to put a fibre cab in. It might be that your area is on a different exchange or just on the edge of the exchanges.
