I watched The Ring american remake by myself alone in the house for the night and that didn't bother me one bit. The remake of TCM turns my stomach though! I watched about 10 minutes of it and that was enough for me. I love horror films but not gore.

The Juggernaut from Thirteen Ghosts gave me the fear for a few night though.

I did with my sister before we all tried to watch it though. That was pure comedy due to winding each other up! Mass hysteria rocks!

SAW is excellent from a psychological point and I thoroughly enjoyed it even though I don't like gore. Just do what I do and give it a go with your bloke ready to hide behind!

SAW 2 was ok. The eyeball bit was a bit much for me as I'm really squeamish about eyes!

SAW's not about being horrible for horribles sake. Jigsaw only picks victims who are wasting their lives or deserve it.

HOSTEL is about being horrible for horribles sake. The eye and the ankle. Gorefest!

EDIT: Ooops, it's Fayshun 'ere

It's not particularly bloody except when it needs to be. Which you cant say about the second one imo. Though it was much better than I was expecting, after how fast they cooked it up.

SAW isn't that bloody, I agree. It's far more psychological horror and implied than anything.

It's only bloody once really, and it does help stress the terror.
