There was a program a while back where they made this uber xmas dinner which consisted of one big turkey filled with layers of other birds, which was then slow roasted. It looked really really good, I think it was a receipe from the middle ages

They were going on about horse meat the other week. Next time i'm over in France i'll see if the restaurant is doing it.

Had Horse in France last week. Was lovely.
Still not overly keen on snails or frogs legs though. Will eat them though.

Frogs legs seemed a bit...well...nothingish to me - maybe it was just where I tried them *shrugs* would try them again because of that reason.
Haven't tried snails but would.

Despite being grumpy and tired and unhappy about being away from home, there are some very good restaurants here in Barca - lots of garlicy buttery goodness
