Harsh dude, our boiler at home sounds about as old as yours, luckily the previous owner had left a load of spare parts for it, so whenever it breaks down we have the bits to fix it. I still rip my dad about that, saying there was only that many parts as it needs fixing all the time, but he still refuses to get a new one.

I don't know how you feel about a stranger hugging but...

*hugs*

Whilst you have my sympathy, you should try storage heaters, even when they work it's ruddy cold

Not sure if this site is any good but you can spec a boiler and find an installer if you can get the boiler yourself Admittedly they'll recommend their products but I'm sure you can find a similar product elsewhere

It really is a coincidence but that site recommended a Worcester Greenstar 28i Junior.

Look what was nailed on my wall today....

It's a Worcester Greenstar 28i Junior!

I like Worcester boilers. Mine's illegal due to not being the condensing type (was installed a year or two before those regs), but it's a Worcester Bosch 24CDi, been here getting on for 8 years now, and save a few vibration issues and problems caused by BG engineers its not shown even a hint of a problem.

Touch wood.

In short - good choice.
