They felt it all the way down in Kent apparently - you must have been not far off. This is not the first time I've heard of quakes in the UK - there's been a few over the years IIRC.. I bet you they'll blame it on this "global warming" rubbish.

Something rocked my bed last night but it wasn't an earthquake

Ah boo. There's never any tornados or earthquakes or such down this way... I'm guessing we're just so far off they can't be bothered to quake their way here.

Ah the joys of being ill I was fast asleep, normally this kind of thing would wake me up story in Liverpool echo

David came to bed later on and I woke up, he told me and I thought he'd fell asleep or something and had been dreaming

So it was an earthquake! At about 1am? Was in bed and could have sworn the earth shook. 6th floor of the same building as DRZ.

Same for me. I looked out of window to see if there were signs of it, like people stopping in their cars, saw one car stopped.

If I hadn't read this thread, I would have totally forgotten, but I woke up in the night feeling that something was wring. The bed had made a noise like it does when the cat jumps on to it and there were other shaky noises too. I was so tired I didn't know if I was dreaming but it must have been the quake!
