Agree with you both, and can raise you!

People who don't stop at zebra crossings, or even worse, people who gun their engine and scream over the zebra crossing when I'm trying to cross with my little girl.

****s

Specsavers. They've had £60 of my money for my glasses and had to re make both mine and Megan's again once because of scratches on them. Then when I went in this evening because my new glasses are causing me more migraines than I normally have, they ordered another pair but made it clear that they couldn't really be bothered with helping me.

When I asked for the opinion of both members of staff who were apparently there to help me, they just carried on gossiping.

In the end I just chose the pair I had in my hand just to get out of there quickly so I could burst into tears in the privacy of the nearby toilets.

I've never had this problem with glasses before, and I've been wearing them for 22 years now.

They're all franchised. You should complain, seriously, ours is great, couldn't be more helpful & friendly. However one in Arndale is awful, had misfortune to have lens emergency nearby once, worst service ever. Very hit and miss.

I went for an eye test today there actually. When I got in, the assistants were all huddled around the till chatting. It was like I was intruding on their little powow. The optician was great but when it came to choosing glasses, not one of the assistants could be arsed to even ask if I wanted help... so I left and will take Leon back to help me choose tomorrow. Rubbish!!

We have two in Lincoln, the one we go to (and have been going to for 4 years now-not anymore though!) is in Morrissons.

I'm going to put in a complaint once my eyes have re-adjusted to my old glasses which I am wearing because I just can't wear the new ones anymore.

If when I pick up the 3rd pair next week I'm treated with the same level of customer service, I'll just demand a refund and tell them I'm going back to Dolland and Aitchison as I never had any problems with them at any point over the 15 years we as a family went to them.

If you complain, the top bods at the store will take notice because as they are franchised, they have to, any loss of custom is damaging to them. If you have any letters from them, you should see who you need to tell. At least give them a chance to put it right, they may have no idea their staff are letting them down like that.

Ahem! Not all of them! Well, at least once I've done the route a few times - then it's autopilot like any seasoned commuter.

Not sure I could handle the Olympic commute every day though. Standing room only isn't for me!

Spiders. Three inch ones at that! I know it was three inches because that's how big the cup I used to put it outside was. At least I know it's not crawling around the house somewhere, waiting to be stepped on (yes, I have!)
