The Oral B advert on the bus where the lady asks "so where do you get off?" and gets the reply "3 stops back..." - why is the immediate reaction not to back away from the stranger/creepy man who is admitting he's only still there to be close to you? Why is this behaviour that she actually looks quite pleased with as she flashes him a toothy smile (obvious subtext being that Oral B makes you attractive to weirdos but it does work wonders for your teeth and frankly that's much more important...)?

I fear I might have missed something about this advert but I'm still pretty sure that it's not behaviour that I'd want to emulate because I can't imagine it ever plays out as well as it did on the advert and if it did then perhaps I should be more worried about any woman who actually wants to be stalked by someone with a nice smile.

You're at home at the weekend. Maybe you're watching some TV, maybe you're cleaning the house, just browsing the internet perhaps.

*BANG*

Probably a car door. Kid bouncing a ball or something.

*BANG*

OK, couple of car doors. People getting back from somewhere.

*BANG*

It's not loud but it kind of reverberates through the house. Not sure where it's coming from but...

*BANG*

I can't imagine what sort of activity involves making such a noise with such an odd, repetitive but only occasional impact. Kind of annoying tho...

*BANG*

RIGHT! SOMEONE MUST DIE!

Cameras that flash "YOUR SPEED IS 30 SLOW DOWN" in a 30 zone at 23:45. I think were about erm, zero other cars around.

You've reminded me that somewhere... I have blue earmuffs with a pink heart in the middle and a unicorn tag. They are the MUTTS NUTS and super warm!

Adults are allowed fun clothing that are practical too

Completely rational hates to follow:

Sticky rain. Especially when on the bike. Not quite enough to clear off your visor even with speed but enough to skank up your vision. Praise the lordy Mc Lord for wipey tabs on my gloves!!

Sore butts. Riding for 12hours with only 3 stops of 20mins maximum and having only eaten half a sarnie = not fun and REALLY sore arse. Not something we plan on doing on the trip as it sucked balls!

Directions in France. South of France not so bad. North and towards the border is an ABSOLUTE nightmare! Road upon road upon road of nothing and ghost towns with signs saying "SuperU Tourne Droit 800m". When you're promised this supermarket, you eagerly turn right at the signposted crossing for SuperU only to find this SuperU is actually 40km down this road then left, right, another 10km and up another road... and also shut. AGRHgrhghGHgh!!

Jackasses who ignore motorcyclists: Been cut up countless times now, had to boot one car and cannot even count how many times I've flicked a reverse victory at idiotic drivers. Good news is, our bikes are BLOOMING loud now so a) most people hear us before they see us and thus react b) We're big and tall so easily seen c) We're fast so can get away from any twits or out of sticky situations in a twist of a wrist.

There should be a ban on covering songs.

Today I have heard that the following songs have been covered:

TLC - Waterfalls
FGTH - The Power of Love

Leave them alone!!!

This is one of my favourite songs. Ever. And I heard this Diana Vickers/x-factor-made-this-style-famous popular version today and it made me sad.

It's annoying that the station signs now have changed to stating how long it is until the train arrives as a number of minutes alongside what time the train was scheduled for e.g. "08:03 Train name 3 minutes". Before it used to be "08:03 Train name 08:04" which was much better as you only needed to check whether the numbers matched up to know whether the train was on time - now you've got to note what time it actually is and work out whether adding on X minutes puts it behind or ahead (hah) of schedule. It's a change that seems to add no benefits and does even make it marginally less user friendly as far as I'm concerned.

My other annoyance about trains is that for the past couple of weeks (almost from the time they changed the signs in fact) the train I'd normally get has been delayed by at least 3 minutes - now the length of the delay itself isn't a big deal but if it's always going to be delayed by that amount then at some point it stops being the train at XX:XX and it becomes the train at XX:XX+3. There seems little point to continually pretending that the train is going to come at XX:XX if every man and his dog knows it's perpetually 3+ minutes late.

Every time Matt has to get the train (if I'm using the car that day), it always leaves at least 1 minute early. And they deny it, DESPITE me having photographic evidence of the sign and the train pulling away BEFORE it's supposed to.
