When the missus steps over you in a skirt, wearing no knickers farts & a malteser like object falls on your chest. +

I'm on a course and we have an American instructor who keeps saying 'I could care less'. I've noticed quite a lot of Americans do this - surely 'I could care less' means precisely the opposite of what they intend?
Also, JSB - I like Maltesers.

I rather suspect it is short for "I could care less ... but I don't" which does make sense - either that or they just plain haven't thought about it at all. However for the sake of clarity they should simply say "I couldn't care less" so you're right.

My latest annoyance is pedestrians or more specifically slow moving pedestrians who insist on taking up most of the space on the pavement and still somehow manage to stop suddenly despite travelling at such a glacial pace that stopping seems almost an irrelevance. Equally as irritating are people who don't bother to look before walking in front of you and cause you to have to stop/change direction.

It really annoys me that a guy at work just doesn't understand that you can be bored and busy! He thinks just because I'm bored I must be doing nothing - NO! More often than not, I'm busy doing something mind-numbingly boring that actually doing nothing and staring into space would be a positive step!

incompetence in the work place.

I need to get out of there.

It doesn't matter ow low or high up the ladder you are. Take personal responsibility for what you do. Annoys me even more when I'm at the bottom and these people are above me.

Actually I don't think that's irrational.

Hearing people eat crisps or other crispy food. Argghhhh

Re: the I could care less, I say this but it's usually followed by "but it'd involve some effort"
